Introduction
Who am I: Hello! I'm Jenna Hough. On June 3rd I'll become Mrs. Jenna Stedry! What I do: I am the Freeland Y5-4 & 9-12 Art Teacher. Where I'm located: I reside in Midland with my fiance Jeremy, and my fur-babies Binx (meow) and Paislie (woof!). Course Questions/Concerns: I am most concerned about being able to incorporate enough technology into my subject area to meet this course's needs, but not take away from the hands-on experience that is Art. I am also feeling in a time crunch because the end of the school year is creeping up fast and I only see the majority of my students once a week for a very short 40 minutes. --One day at a time, right..?!
Hi Jenna,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed looking at your concept map. I think you had a really clever idea of doing the "what, why, how" of critiquing. Seeing it in a concept map format made it really easy to understand all sides of critiquing. I think you did a really great job with making connections throughout. Thanks for sharing!

I appreciate that you listed the purpose of why artist critique. In my Coggle, I did the exact opposite and focused on the how. I find it insightful that you chose to do this and I want to take a step back. To often students are more interested in the end result rather than the process.
ReplyDeleteI think this would be a great thing to show students at the beginning of the year and revisit throughout. I believe this is most likely very important to an artist, which all of our students are. The time you took to create this is evident with the links and detailed information you provided. Nice work!
